I don't remember. One of them is on a slant! So your console just flops around?

If I were going to do it AGAIN which I do have an extra console in the garage, dark gray for my 5.0 interior...

I would pre assemble the console and with the carpet out, put 4 screws through the magnesium holes in the bracket after grinding pointy ends on the screws (downward, nut on both sides) and literally scratch the locations in to the metal.

If I get real ambitious I might create a template. Was going to on the first one but after having to slot the bracket I had no idea where the holes really should have been.

I measured mine today, the top of the console of course slants toward the back, at its closest point it is almost exactly 7.75 inches from the farthest back part of the console to inside the cove. With the arm rest on I get a little over 5.5 from back of arm rest to the outside of the cove (measuring straight horizontally).

That all being said, my current sub box will fit with the notch! I have to notch it though. I'll wait till I take the carpet out AGAIN and put the darker carpet I want in. The box even with the notch will need to be installed with one of the seats out.
