My ears must be like yours, I've had sirius going on 14 years now and always thought the sound quality was great. Sirius is about as techy, tecky, techie?...as I get. I couldn't even figure out how to post multiple pics without searching around. I like the plug and play aspect of the portable unit. I even have the boom box when we're out on the deck. I have no clue about other streaming services, but I hope it works out for you
I have the XM Receiver so I will be using XM.
I have read somewhere that XM offers a Military Discount, if they do, iy should help.

Remember XM is satellite and requires line of sight. Trees, parking garages, and tunnels will cause a loss of service. If you are on the open road it works well.  If you have good cell service there is:
1) Pandora
2) Shazam
3) iHeartRadio
4) Spinrilla
5) Spotify
6) YouTube
And their are others. I have an old Ipod 8 Gig that I maxed out with music I like. It is mostly classic rock and roll/metal, some jazz, some zydeco, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Hank Jr. and some Aretha.

I didn't now all of these were even ut there.

If XM  doesn't work out then I will consider one of these, thanks.
