Thanks for that post, Jamie! It helps to understand circumstances and reasons when someone "does it their own way". I would probably be interested in doing something like that, but age and health get in the way of the more adventurous ways of life. You obviously love the homesteading thing, Lord knows I would love to be off the grid and more in control of my life.
