Something like the hybrid ceramic wax doesn't bond as well to surfaces like glass since it is a different surface composition than paint. Could it bond? Yes but not nearly as well as the painted surface of the vehicle. If you are worried about getting some over spray on the glass and it causing an issue, I wouldn't be too concerned. As long as you do hit the area with a strong stream of water and do not let the product dry to the surface anywhere, you should be fine. Fun tip with windows because EVERYONE hates doing them myself included:
I've had great luck with this process by eliminating any streaking or smearing while doing glass. By going over the glass with the spray wax it will clean up the smears as well as provide a hydrophobic surface inside & out which makes it easier to clean for the next time. And since it would be waxed on the outside, yes water will bead off of it.
