I have an iPod (one of the older ones). I can plug it in to my USB charger that is mounted in my radio bezel and the 3.5mm into the jack in the dash.
There is an Adapter, I will need to look it up but it has the older iPod Connector and a 3.5mm Plug.
Makes the OEM Ford Radio sounds great.
New Speakers would help too !
These two pics show the basics of the Adapter, not sure what you have for an OEM Radio but this Adapter needs the 20-Pin Connector on the back of the Radio.
