It creaks and pops every time you even look at it. Also, it is very narrow where the shifter would be located. The main challenge with that is you have to fabricate the top part of the console to accommodate the shift lever and bezel. I'm just not feeling it with how it would look and that would be a butt load of work with fiberglass and bondo. Also, as mentioned before, I want to retain the OEM look. By using the Escape console AND shifter, the whole thing will look more natural. There's always a SHORTY !
