There has been recent discussions about the torsen rear differential that came stock on some FX4's and FX4 level 2's. They were standard equipment in the 2002 FX4, and 2003-2007 FX4 Level II's. In 2008-2009,the Torsen was optional, no idea how many took the option but it would be crazy not to it is the greatest idea since spider gears. Here is a video that explains it very well BUT going in to this video there is one simple thing they forgot to mention that isn't as obvious to some non gear heads: The large ring gear you see is driving the helical and spur gears FROM those 6 shafts, it is attached physically to them. That and the tid bit he puts in the beginning will help even the non mechanically inclined to understand.
