I am thinking about changing consoles to possibly make this easier/better looking. Currently, I have an Expo full length console. Problem with this one is that if I use the one-piece Sport console top to modify, I don't think I can install it after it has been completed... due to the dash being in the way while trying to negotiate it over the shift handle. I will, of course, do more test fitting and such before I go ripping out the existing console and try to fit in the Escape/Mariner unit. I have to take some serious measurements and then go to the local Pick N Pull to see if there is any possibility it will even fit between the seats.
