My absolute favorite guitar isn't even in my house right now I loaned it to a buddy I work with. I'll see if I can find a pic but it was a 150 dollar Dean EVO. When I got it I stuck a fingernail under one of the frets and flipped it out. Was my first jumbo stainless fret project and I have scars to prove it. The reason I like it is the new frets. I bought pre curved frets but they were for a strat and about 9" radius. The EVO has a 14" fretboard radius I love the flat feel. I had to press the frets flat before they would curve to 14 from 9 it was a feat. Straightened the neck, sanded the fretboard (beautiful dark brown) and super glued the already tight frets. Re flattened, crowned and polished. Tone pros hardware, CTS pots, orange drop caps, and stock Dean 30th anniversary pickups which are nothing short of impressive. After setting the neck I took it back off, carved multiple grooves in it and the body, and tightbond glued it to the body. Finished it off with a bone nut I slotted for .009 top E string. Forgot the tuners I bet I used grovers though. This thing plays like a $700 guitar, and if I sold it right now I could only get like 200 LOL so it is a keeper. Looking for pictures. Do you still play? I think I have all but stopped.
