I have a 2003 with 3.0L also. I popped the hood on mine and I see nothing like the one in question. I fear the boot is supposed to be inside the A/C housing and goes into the firewall there to feed vacuum to the HVAC controls. I love ya, MdubG, but I'm not going to remove my A/C housing to verify that! LOL :)
Love ya too lol I wouldn't make you do that anyway. I'll just have to do some looking, see if I can see it's spot from inside the truck maybe and deal with it then.
