I'll correct you but you are not wrong. :)
An admin can edit a post any time and I think all the supermods can too. If it requires HTML work might have to lean on Chris or myself. I don't know, any of you orange dudes know HTML?
One of the supers please try to edit an old insignificant post (probably one of mine LOL) to see if you can. Hell I wrote the permissions and I can't remember.
Jim, I went to your build of the jalapeno & I was able to edit your post from Sept. 21st, 2018.
