When cutting the rivets off, consider using a Cutting Tip for your Torch designed for that purpose. The Tip have a slight bent in the end and three or four holes that direct the heat and cutting gas to the rivet head and cuts pretty cleanly, at least the one I used did. The tip went to my Craftsman Torch which I gave my brother, with all the tips; Craftsman had a special designed mounting end too so the tips didn't interchange. Good Luck. Pictures
