It is only advantageous near red-line. It is not necessary if you are building a torque monster for low end use. You're on point! it's getting a pan with baffles and a windage tray. I'm not worried about squeezing out every pony, but I'll be adding baffles as well, for when we are bouncing around & hill climbing. I was intending on going to a 7qt or larger pan also, to accompany a high volume pump. but I will see where all my steering & links end up & how much room I have to work with. May have to just weld something up myself, idk!
