Range day! I took the 357 and 45GAP out to the range this afternoon. I have a new load worked up and ready to be tested for the 357. It is a 158gr heavy plate hollow point. I have loads at .3 grains apart starting .4 grains below max recommended load going down to the +P 38 SPL range. The range was very busy so the GAP stayed in the bag. The brass is too hard to replace I only shoot it when I am sure I can recover all of the brass. The other disappointment the battery on my chronograph is dead. So I did not get to work up the new load. I ended up blowing off 120 rounds of 125gr round nose lead heads. These are a hot 38spl +P range load I had worked up a few months back. I am very accurate in single action mode with 2-hand and 1-hand shooting. The heavier trigger pull for double action is something I need to get used to. I still hit the target but it was all over the place.
