It had 4:10 open diff's and would get stuck in a little mudhole that my 04 Ranger with street tires and LS would plow through with no issues. I used it to haul hay from south GA to middle FL. The 4.6 struggled when loaded but it never gave any problems. The problems were lack of maintenance to the axels and transfer case. I purchased it with 90k on it two years old and put another 160k before I sold it to a high school boy.
