Well the time has come to start a build thread. First I will say that if anyone looks back I did have one for a v6 supercharged build but I decided that a 5r55e (even “builtâ€) would never hold up so that went in the trash. The v8 swap is here to stay. What I plan on using the truck is clowning around, pulling trailers, burn outs, etc lol. So I'm going to keep the motor simple, e303 cam, torquemonsters, trickflow intake. Done. Maybe one day a turbo build but not for a looooong time. Trans: stock 4r70w with the j mod, already got a oversized cooler. Now what I would like to have everyone's input on is what transfer case to use with what I'll be doing. Will the stock ranger case hold up or go for a electronic shift 4406, will a 4406 fit or does the frame need to cut? Wiring: BIG SHOUT OUT TO 410CUSTOMS, he has been a huge help!!!! I will be using a 1996 motor wire harness and computer.
