5 channel amps may have an input for the sub RCA but you can also usually use the 1-2 or 3-4 inputs for the sub (front or rear) there is usually a switch...

I am a big fan of the new bluetooth amps and or head units, we do not need a full DIN or double DIN head unit anymore, most people just want to use their phone = free up dash space for gauges or a phone mount, even better a tablet! LOL
