That expo carpet has thicker padding and is thicker in general, I believe it would be quieter and cooler in the cab with the expo carpet.
I'm weighing the custom sills option against the Aardvark carpet WHICH with extra padding will cost almost 200 bucks. Custom sills would of course look awesome but with my project starting to completion ratio being like it has been for the past 4 years it might never get done.
Those could look really cool if you machine them yourself. One Saturday at the shop to bust out 2 custom sill plates doesnt seem bad. Only down side is if they ever need replacing you'll need to make them yourself again.
