The 4r44e is KNOWN for a leaky separator gasket between the valve body and the trans, can cause intermittent issues like this, hard shifting, delayed engagment, hanging in 1st, etc
How many miles?
This is how we fix trucks, eliminate one problem at a time!!!!!!!! getting better!
