The hub is a splined piece with a 6 bolt plate on it.
The splined piece will go onto the steering shaft itself an the wheel and quick release assembly will be bolted to it.
A 97-02 F150 Spline is the same as the 05 and older rangers.
(Just google 'ranger steering wheel direct swaps' and someone I believe in Ranger Station made a post of it)
The F150 hub will fit our rangers directly. Usually around $130 for it. Instead of tack welding something to your steering shaft.
