Trying to fix an exhaust leak between the front of the cat conv & the end of the "Y" pipe.
Are the joints welded or just clamped ?

Also, you may need to remove the pipe and try resizing the "Y" Pipe and the Cat, then refit the Cat, time consuming job !

It is leaking where the flange on the front of the cat mates to the flange on the back of the "Y" pipe, it doesn't seal properly. The aftermarket does not make a "Y" pipe for the 2000 4.0 with out cats so the exhaust shop that did the work for me a couple years ago I am guessing they got an older ranger "Y" pipe & made it to fit my truck.
