Chewy_719, welcome to F-R. Nice looking Ranger. I replaced the grille & lights on my 2000 using ones from a 01-03 & adding a power dome hood from a 01-03 Ranger. The problem you have with the idle could possibly be the IAC (idle air control) or the TPS (throttle positioning sensor). I would get some spray cleaner (carb, or throttle body cleaner) & clean the IAC & TPS & see if that helps before replacing any parts.
