I'm currently running 33's with 3.73 gears and while its still driveable empty on the road, when loaded and offroad it's not quite cutting it. 4lo helps but still. I'm regearing to 4.56 soon, gonna be an expensive job since I don't have the tools or space to do gears myself right now. So I want to go the "might as well" route and add some traction. I'm going with lsd's front and rear because I don't want to put a locker auto or selectable in the front because IFS and manual nor probably in the rear because again manual and I'm driving on snow/ice/slush/mud and everything in between 5-6 months out of the year. For the rear if the lsd isn't enough i can always change later but 2 torsen style limited slips should be plenty capable for me. The front will stay LSD for sure. SO... In my ongoing search for a Helical gear type LSD for my front diff, I contacted Torsen for a T-2 and a new batch will be available "end of summer-ish" is what they told me. I don't want to wait that long ideally so I kept searching and lately I stumbled on Powertrax Grip-Pro by Richmond. The no-slip and lock-rite etc.. have been available for a while but this one never popped up on my searches before, only in the last weeks. Powertrax Grip-Pro GT443527 It's a helical gear limited slip and they list it everywhere as available for he DANA35 , sometimes with a special bearing and race needed. Some even mention c-clip axles. The 98 up ranger is in the application charts, explorers too. So my question is, are all the sites/vendors confused by theĀ IFS DANA30/35 Jeep/SLA/c-clip/non c-clip thing? https://www.powertrax.com/traction-systems-product/369907-limited-slip-differential-gt443527/?crt_viaSearch=groupcode%3AGPRO https://www.carid.com/powertrax/grip-pro-traction-system-mpn-gt443527.html https://www.jegs.com/i/Powertrax/754/GT443527/10002/-1 https://www.amazon.com/Powertrax-GT443527-Powertrax-Grip-Traction-System/dp/B01C8INGIE It's cheaper than a Torsen too. So, too good to be true? edited, it keeps posting backslashes before ' and " and wow I need to keep my posts shorter ![]() Last edited on Sat Apr 13th, 2019 11:09 am by Arthur ____________________ 2008 XLT 4x4 4.0 5Spd.
