I've always worked on my projects out in the (stone) driveway, which ranges from "not so bad" to "a special kind of hell" depending on the weather. I don't really mind working outside or the unpaved surface, but having to work around mother nature can be frustrating.
I recently got a little bit of an upgrade though... sort of haha
It's a 2.5 car garage that was my grandfathers shop before he passed a few years back. He had it divided up into three rooms and used it for wood working (and parked a car in it). It had a leaking roof, quite a bit of water damage, and needed a little organizing and a good cleaning. Long story short, I fixed the roof and water damage in exchange for some occasional shop time.
Here's two of the three rooms. The third isn't quite "presentable" yet.
