wicked good news!
a 99 cluster is alot closer to the 03 cluster, this is good!
in fact 99 was all digital so the oil pressure and coolant gauges should work the same, if not you know you can use the components from your 03

I really like that new cluster layout!!
I like having a tachometer on my dash, but not everyone needs it and with the tech we have today you can always have a tach on your phone/tablet/scanner etc

I hope I didnt muddle this all up and confuse things, you have to remember when it comes to actual Ranger trucks I only know a little I have been building explorers for 20 years because I let my two stepsons have the ranger business. Now we all 3 kind of work together (they both got jobs at Polaris) so I am doing the rangers too. I love to learn! Thanks for posting this all up

Thx 410C,

I was thinking, but didn't know where to go to check it out, to use as much of the '03 Cluster Gauges as possible, especially the Gauge Motors.
I would not want to go through all of the work of changing over and find out things weren't as they should be !
I will try to find some info on interchanging the Gauge Motors, Ford is no help, they want the VIN of the Truck the parts came from and the existing VIN and info that does nothing to help me.  I would think you could look up a '99 Cluster and see if the Cluster or the parts in it are called out for an '03... NOT !

Anyhow, I will be looking around the web today, I need to down load the "Odometer Reset How-To" and figure out how to and what to use, when putting the Clear Face back on the Cluster, any thoughts ?
