built this from a truck i rolled and was using for parts, more pics in my flickr link in signature. the frame is a 97, box, back bumper and axle are from the 94 i currently drive. yes, it might pull easier with a trailer axle over a stock 7.5 with gears/gear oil still in it but the 7.5 is rated at 3,000 pounds so thats better than the 2,000 pound "trailer" straight axle i could buy. plus if id ever need that 7.5 with the 3.45 gears, i know right where it is.
