So, I set aside working on the Ranger for a while and kept both battery cables attached to the battery and haven't run the truck since my last post. When I tried to start it up a few weeks ago, nothing happened. It's as if the truck doesn't even have a battery. I plugged in the CTEK charger, but the battery won't accept the charge. According to the manual, the battery might be bad or a connection is off. However, I'm not doing anything differently than I did in the past when everything worked.

I'm wondering if the battery could have gone bad over the past 6 months or so? I find that hard to believe since it just sat in the truck all winter. But if the battery is ok, why won't it accept a charge? I'm hesitant to jump start the truck since I think I did it improperly or something as a few lights no longer work (brake light, turn signal, etc.). I could also take the battery to the local car parts store, but I'm curious as to what you guys think.

Thanks ahead for all your help.
