Ive performed the Screwdriver unlocking procedure a number of times. the time was actually on a Mazda Navajo (ie Explorer Sport) and it worked easily,

Was state practice will help.

Good Luck on the Keypad Access Mod, I like the idea but not sure if I want to do it.
Too many things on the procrastination list now !
