I compared the advertised weights of 2 tire companys with an all terrain type tire for a 16" wheel on up to a 20" wheel. By the inch, tire weights averaged a lb/inch. But there was a 4 pound difference between tire companies as well. I used Cooper st maxx and Mickey Thompson all terrain for comparison. Coopers were heavier. I chose those 2 because they both had the same tire in all sizes for comparison. I dont put a lot of miles on my truck at the moment but it's mostly driven on the street. Those offroad/mud tires are about $200 on up PER tire and are usually a softer compound. So I'd have to do lots of off roading to justify a set of those. I'll try and get a wheel per inch figure
