I was hoping someone would know in general which was heavier, an inch of tire Vs an inch of wheel. I know wheels can vary based on style and manufacturer. I would think tires would be a little more uniform in weight. The weight is the primary concern for the reason scrambler82 described, then ride comfort. I appreciate all who commented
