In the old days when a village slaughtered an animal, every last bit of it was eaten or used - today's society wastes a great deal, supermarkets throw away huge amounts of "out of date" food that is perfectly edible.

I suppose McDs is doing no more than taking what would otherwise have been rejected by the public and turning it into something they crave - good luck to them and it is a great business model, buy cheap and sell at a good profit.

However, it is not good for the nation's health and is costing us all in medical expenses eventually but it is their choice and I will defend their right to kill themselves off by eating it....;)
