You should run your vehicle identification number through the recall site. My 99 ranger had a cruise control recall. It might be the same for 98 rangers. It may have already been in for the recall but if it hasn't go get it. Took them 5 min to switch whatever was supposed to be recalled. I'm glad you're enjoying your truck!!!!
