I haven't hooked mine up yet, when I drive my wife's CRV it is handy to tell me how close I am. I traditionally leave a much larger distance than needed between me and the car I am backing in to LOL the camera helps with safely shortening the distance. I guess I don't see that well depth perception is way off.
