Building a 4 door Mustang would be as bad as Ford wanting to make the Mustang a FWD car with no V-8 like they wanted to do in the late 80's. Mustang fans & potential buyers wrote to Ford about leaving the Mustang a RWD car, & so the Ford Probe was born. Leave the Mustang a 2 door.
