I love startups though, I just bought an oil pressure bar graph gauge and sending unit from Intellitronix, I'll run it daily to see how it lasts.
Intellitronix is in direct competition with Dakota Digital who has a very large custom build customer base (including our own Nopower) so they have a lot to prove. So far all the "they suck" propaganda seems to be from sloppy customers.
We need a good alternative to Dakota, they seem to be leaning more toward the Harley crowd with their new products.
So far you are correct, isspro seems to be top dog with 52MM gauges but I'm really liking the obd2 based stuff that is coming out even from Autometer. I'll have to try it eventually.
