Got an email today from a gunbroker affiliate advertiser claiming to be giving away free "assault backpacks". I couldn't resist and had to have a look. Took forever to load and it looked literally thrown together, but I pressed on.
"Secure your free gift now!" Gave it my email address, they already had it anyway, and all I needed to do next was pay $15 shipping and handling to receive my FREE gift!
I bust out laughing every time one of these gets sent to my inbox.
Those e-mails are real, they will really send you something. I'm wearing a leg holster I got for free just by paying the 9.99 shipping. In reality the shipping was about 2 bucks and you get a 7 dollar holster.
Works for me. Y'all know how sensitive I am to scams too, this one is shady but not a scam. Clues were the company could be found on the internet and there were stories I could search of others who successfully received their crap though it does take longer than normal, took like 5 weeks to get it.
Did it have a countdown timer for the "limited time offer"?
