These things are relatively cheap, rebuilding should never be an option with an electric motor driven device unless you are sure the mechanical portion is the only problem. Mechanical binding can get wires hot in a motor burning insulation and causing shorts. The wire used for the stator windings is bare copper coated with a thin coat of lacquer (or it was back in the 70's. Probably some eco safe non volitile vegetable based liquid now that attracts insects and groundhogs) this stuff gets hot and melts causing shorts. Every link you posted didn't seem to be for your year, it isn't in your sig but don't you have a 1998 truck? And do not trust e-bay compatibility charts 100%! Have seen them often wrong found that out on motor mounts.
