If I understand you correctly the new shift motor came with a spot for the brown wire, and it was empty?
You need to unpin the brown wire from your stock plug and pin it into the new plug
Do the rest of the wires match up?
Why are you replacing the shift motor?
I mean I can guess you suspect it is bad, I am just wondering what lead you to that conclusion? Push 4hi button and nothing happens?
