Not a permanent Solution BUTTTTTTT, when I picked up a transfer case one time. The previous owner had an issue with his shift motor too. His temp solution was taking a 12 point socket, you'll have to figure out what will fit & with tighter tolerances to keep from just stripping anything, and tap it on with a mallet.. your choice of a 3/8" or 1/2" size is relative to use. I have a full 10mm-36mm sockets on my end I could check with them for fitment too. But you should be able to manually change 2WD/High/Low easily with removal of the motor and a ratchet/socket
Sounded like a good idea. I went out there, tools are not an issue, they must have beat the hell out of something cause no socket I have will fit, again maybe if I pounded something on but I dont want to do that.
