I actually read that entire thread and was wondering since it has been over a year now how is it holding up? Time is the best measure of how good the prep on paint actually was. There is a guy at work that got hit in the rear with his 150, had a bed painted to match. A year later it was rusting out at the fender wells like they painted over salt.

Is your paint shop (the one you took it to) still in business?

I'm not too sure how thick the paint or clear coat is. Which is another reason I had a professional do the sealer. There is a spot on the hood and one on the door , both are on the edge and it looks like.... I'll need to take a pic. Easier to show than explain. Also found 2 more defects. Hopefully you guys can see this. It's about the size of a strip of packing tape and wasnt visible till after it went to the salon. Its looks like water but it isnt. Lol.

Overall I like the color and it looks nice, if it was earl shive or macco job it would be awesome. Because it cost about 5times as much as a macco I was expecting it to look like it just rolled off the dealership. My expectations were not show quality, I just wanted it to look new

Yes the paint shop is still in business but i have lost faith in their ability. I have lots to add to the experience that I didnt include in the original thread that should make that pretty clear. Lol.
