Hmm...interesting. When I tried to start my truck today, it wouldnt crank over at all. It, once again, did the thing where the CE light comes on and the trip guage reads nothing, but I did notice that the anti theft light started flashing rapidly along with the parking brake light and abs light...this is the key I bought it with though, and it's never not worked before. The key is worn, the metal (what looks like brass...?) Is showing, could that influence the Pat's? Shes a 2008
I'm guessing battery. Lose connection or door ajar overnight. You'd have to really damage the top part of the key to screw up the transponder. If you still have the original motorcraft battery it's probably gone bad. My 07 had it's original until a month ago. It started to take more cranks to start, then it stranded me twice. I assumed it was because I wasnt driving it as much. I had the alternator and battery tested and the battery failed.
