I've found that Dorman is pretty much hit and miss as far as many electrical components.
Common to Rangers, I changed out my resistor block a few years ago with a Dorman unit. Real lucky, it lasted maybe 6 months. I bought an OEM unit, and no problems. I had also replaced the harness at the same time with the Dorman unit.
Just an example, myself and others have also had junk from Dorman. I've found when it comes to electrical, OEM is the better way.
