The later model units maybe sealed
I agree that in your model there is no missing stop, the metal pin contacts the plastic figure 8 shaped piece.
They did make changes over the years to make the shift motor more reliable thank goodness
I cannot see your pics in that last post not sure if its just me
If I hover over them and click on them they open up, do they not for U?
