I would love to cut them up like that! I would need some sort of lift to get them up onto my trailer for going to the recycle yard, my small tractor wont do it. I am in the market for a large backhoe to use around here one of its functions will be to help with crushing/stacking Right now the trucks have to be on a trailer before we can finally remove the rear axle, so we have to keep them rolling around until then. Yesteday I started working on my BII!! Hooray! This means many of my projects are complete and I can start to work on trucks. I am fitting the new Duff rear bumper and tire swing, but first I had to fix my tailpipe. I smashed my tailpipe years ago in Moab on a rock, so I had cut the smashed portion off, well it was so short that I was boiling my fuel!! So I extended it yesterday and added a turn down. Next I will be fixing my rust!! Before, this old Duff bumper took some serious abuse!! ![]() new pipe installed, this is temporary setup I am planning a full new exhaust system in 2019, from headers back....... ![]() ![]() ![]() Bumper fitment / paint happening now: ![]() ![]() I will pull the truck outside to do the final welding, I am also using some tin to build a heat shield between fuel tank and exhaust pipe, replacing gas tank pressure sensor and a few other things before shes road worthy again lol Last edited on Thu Oct 25th, 2018 12:41 pm by 410customs ____________________ I build custom RBV, specializing in drivetrain conversions, wiring, suspension and complete custom trucks |
