My father was at a local recycling center a couple months ago and a guy pulled on to the scales driving a brand new F150, with a new-ish F150 on his trailer. Dad asked him about it and he said it was a 2011 model and the engine was done. He said Ford told him the cost of an engine and he thought he might as well put that cost in to buying a new truck. They yanked it off the trailer with the claw, picked out the engine, and proceeded to flatten it on the ground by slamming the closed claw down on it. 110,000 miles on it. His payout was $175 GB :)
