There is a definite difference in the V6 vertical plug coils and the horizontal plug coils.

I'm still gathering information but you cannot swap them with the plug wires in the same location.

I have verified so far the vertical plug model is:

Motorcraft # dg535

Horizontal is:

Motorcraft # dg533

I believe it is a firing order thing and they should be able to be swapped if you know which nub to put which wire on.

I found out my 3.0 truck is way off, the wires are not in any order known to man it does not match any pattern.
I will dig until I find out the truth.
