As a recent topic of interest of my own, Ive been doing hella researching on everything from Anodizing to Cerekote/Durakote and even the black nitride coatings.. They all wear with time, some shorter than others but to me and many others I've found. If your firearm doesn't have any wear or discoloration to it.. you're not using it enough. And ironically they're all close to the same in durability. One thing that "might" separate them is a particular companies process but overall.. all wear similarly.
Im not to fond of throwing my firearms down onto the ground and or sliding them in the dirt so to speak, I guess if I had to or it happened during some SHTF like moment it is what it is. So I get the keeping them looking nice but at the same time, I dont like them looking like chicken-strip rear tires on my bikes either.. lol
Like us, every bruise, scrape, cut, scar, broken bone has a story, and that story is what becomes our character building. Build character with your firearms. :)
