Got back under the truck, checked the inner tie rods, outer tie rods, they're fine and not bent. There's no fluid coming out of the rack and pinion boots on either side, everything feels tight and intact. The only "concern" is where the steering linkage connects to the rack, it looks a little greasy but not excessive.
