While remodeling my house and various other projects I've saved all my copper, brass, aluminum, and some steel. This is an experiment to see if it is worth it to save and recycle. I'm confused by these new tariffs. I cant tell if I should cash in or hold off. I been to the scrap recycler about 5 times for my employer. One is a big place and the other a hole in the wall. The big place flat out ripped me off so I never went there again. The hole in the wall place is kinda sketchy. Some times they are full and wont accept anything. Last time I brought an old fireplace insert and they were charging for anything ferrous.
I'm looking for the big payday. Lol. I'm in no rush to get it gone. I keep adding to it. What I'd like to know is whens the best time to visit the scrapper. Is there a time of the year, best quarter, month, week or day of the week to visit the scrapper?
