Scrambler82, you can take one of the Edge flares, put short, sharpened (bench grinder) roofing nails into the mounting holes where the little christmas tree fasteners go, secure with a very small amount of hot-glue. Then use the Edge flare with nails to transfer holes to paper to make your hole template. While the template is still pierced by the nails, trim the paper template to fit along the top outside edge of the flare as accurately as possible. Remove the nails and lay the Edge flare on to the bedside, and mark (pencil, marker, etc) around the outside of the flare while pushing firmly upward on it, into the wheel well. Then lay the new template on the bedside to mark your hole locations, while lining up with the outer/top marks you made earlier. Your hole locations should end up very accurate this way. Kinda hard to get the point across in words.. GB :) Last edited on Thu Oct 11th, 2018 01:05 am by Bird76Mojo |
